North Ride Day 2: Paoay Church, Cape Bojeador, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation and Pagudpud

So, I told you in my previous post that we will be leaving the house early right? Oh well we woke up just right, around 5:30 in the morning but we left late. It's 8am already. So yes, super init na! Sabi kasi malapit lang naman ang Pagudpud (which was our final destination by the way). Three to four hours away lang daw.

Our first destination - Paoay Church.

There were a lot of devotees already at the church since it's Holy Friday. So silip lang kami saglit, then we said our prayers. Tapos ayun hanap na kami makakainan. Unfortunately, Herencia Cafe was still closed so we circled the church first to get something to eat while we wait for the cafe to open. We had this very tasteless empanada and halo-halo. Hindi talaga masarap! Buti na lang by 9:30 in the morning open na ang Herencia so we were able to taste their very famous Pakbet and Gamet Pizza. It was super good! Ang sarap ng cheese. Hehe

After the very sumptuous meal, we went ahead na with the ride. We stopped for this pala -

We tried to go to Cape Bojeador Lighthouse. We reached it naman but there were a lot of people. Only D tried to go up the Lighthouse. Buti na lang I didn't kasi sarado naman pala yung taas. Yes!

Around lunchtime, we were already at Kapurpurawan Rock Formation. We paid, 15 pesos each pala for environmental ek-ek. Anyway, when we reached the point where you have to go down, I bailed out na. Super init kasi and I can't find anything interesting in the rock formation. So I just waited for them up in the hut.

Here's their picture oh. Anong special? Hehe

Around past one in the afternoon, we reached the Bangui Windmills. It was still as beautiful as the first time I saw it.

Finally, we reached Pagudpud. The first time we were there, we stayed in the Saud Beach area. This time, we stayed at the Blue Lagoon area. The place where the very expensive Hannah's beach is located. But first, we made this side tour to Patapat Viaduct. Grabe ang daming tao!

Ang saya lang ni D dito. Last daan kasi namin dito umuulan so we weren't able to stop for pictures. Anyway, going back, we reached Blue Lagoon around 3 in the afternoon. But nahirapan kami maghanap ng accomodation. Oh yes, since it was an impromptu ride, wala kami reservations. That's why we brought tents. But na lang there's this resort at the end na of Blue Lagoon area that allowed tents. Yehey! Thank God for Dos Hermanas Resort. After pitching the tents, we prepared na our baon lunch which turned out to be merienda/early dinner na.

After a little rest, we decided to explore the beach. Masaya naman. Look na lang at our pictures. Ganto kami kalayo sa main beach ng Blue Lagoon. That's the cove down there?

Zooming in -

Pero ok lang din kahit malayo kami sa main beach. We were near naman this beautiful rock formation. We were able to appreciate it more pa since low tide that afternoon.

The boys tried climbing the big rock but I said no na since mejo unsafe ang path.

I allowed D to climb this.

Some cute shaped rock -

And of course, us in the very picturesque Pagudpud -

Beachy mode on,
 Yosh
