Firsts of Summer

Would you believe that I have not set foot on a beach last year? Not even a dip or a mere sight! Grabe noh? This year, I promised myself that I will have as many beach trips as I can. Thus, the early summer get-away!

Last weekend, my friends, D and I went to Stilts Calatagan to celebrate Lara's birthday. We only stayed for a day tour since my Christian friends have Sunday service.

Everything about that place is awesome! And no, I am not paid to say this. I can spend hours telling you stories but to summarize, here's what I liked -
- The staff are courteous
- The place is clean (I have not seen a single trash)
- The service is awesome. Everytime you order something, it will always come with service water. We ordered Sinigang for lunch and it automatically came with service cups for the soup. It came with 4 sets of little saucers with calamansi and chili too! In other resorts, you will have to request for that pa. Nice nice!
- The open huts (for day tours) have privacy blinds (or something to block off the sun maybe), electric outlet, electric fan and cabinet with lock. When D opened the cabinet, there was a spoiled pansit inside. When we're having lunch in the restaurant, we told the waiter about it. When we get back to the hut, it's gone! Talk about fast service here!
- The food are awesome! Not bad for its price
- This resort is pet-friendly. We saw a group holding one dog each. So cute!
- You can't just walk around in the Stilts area. I found this very considerate to the people renting the rooms. Hey, of course, you don't want to be disturb by other guests. After all, your room is not that cheap.
- The (public) restrooms are clean! The toilets come with tissue (with backup). The shower/changing rooms have areas where you can hang your clothes! Not all resorts have that.

What I don't like -
- The water tends to get too shallow. Oh well, that's nature. But the water in this area is almost always low-tide.
- We saw a sea snake. It's just small but it's still a snake! Hahaha!

Now for the pictures -

You need to have true friends in your lifetime. But you just need a few, just as long as they are true. It is always nice to be with the crowd that can accept your every action. Those people who listen and never judge are the people you should keep in your life forever. I'm just lucky I found them.

Well, them, aside from D of course and my family. Yesterday, my family also had our yearly outing. Unfortunately, I do not have decent pictures of us since I already sold my DSLR. Maybe I should get a monopod na lang no? Anyhoo, here's one of the very few phone pictures I took. I think Barbie enjoyed yesterday. Hehehe

Ready for more,

Keeping Up With Yosh: What's New?

So after the very eventful holiday, what happened next? There's a lot! Both happy and sad.

I got back to reading. Which for me is very therapeutic. The last book I read was this.

Since we're on the topic of reading. A lot. I've acquired a very valuable possession. Nothing can stop me from reading now. Even darkness!

But sometimes food stops me. Hahaha! Especially those new to my taste buds. This one was very intriguing for me. I was more intrigued by what my body disposed a few hours after eating it.

There's also that famous churros. For the longest time, I loved Dulcinea's. I've been trying to try this but the line's always long. Now I did.

I've rediscovered one of my favorite childhood snacks. And past time too! Why? I like to open it all first before eating. Like this -

TV also distracts me sometimes. Especially when San Miguel (my all-time favorite PBA Team) was in the championship.

It's not always happy also. I have to let go some things. Like the picture above. I still can't get over Dondon transferring to another team. Also my camera.

Our team at work also has to transfer to another building. I'm missing the view big time now.

I accompanied my sister to my old high school when she took her entrance exam. Bittersweet memories.

I got these souvenirs from an officemate that was sent to Paris. I worked hard to get that award but still someone else is always better. But it's ok, she deserved it.

I'm ok. Nothing retail therapy can't handle. I bought myself my first designer perfume. It is worth every centavo.

The husband also bought me a new helmet. I personally chose the design. Isn't this the cutest thing ever?!

Looking forward, I think my July 31st will be awesome.

Oha-oha! Achieved na ba ang #feedgoals? Practice pa more no? So that's about it. How about you? What's new?

Finally updated,
Yosh

Keeping Up With Yosh: Holidays 2015

What's up guys? Well, for me, LIFE HAPPENED. I have so many things to do for the past months that I lost time blogging. It's not that nothing special happened. Ayy te sobrang dami! It's just that they happened too fast na I decided to just enjoy the moments.

Anyhoo, like I said, Social Media has always been there for me to save the memories. Like ngayon, Facebook has this Timehop stuff na where you can see what you posted for that same date a few years back. Kaya lang, along with FB's innovations, dumadami din ang nega stuff. And yes, that includes nega people. Hindi ako artista pero the line "People will always have something to say" is very true for me. So as much as possible, I try to avoid FB. Only when, I wanted my family to see certain stuff, that's when I use FB. With my absence naman in FB, you can hear from me more often on Instagram. I like that app better. Maybe because konti lang ang tao. Dunno. But still there's this restriction of #feedgoals on IG. Parang most of the people I follow have nice pictures, like they are using flat-lay technique every time. I like that! So sometimes, if I find a picture not suitable for IG, I post it on FB. And vice-versa also. Siguro I should post it here na lang? Nice nice! But first, let me update this.

There's a bunch of stuff that happened since my last post. I will try to update you with all the interesting things na lang ha? I initially planned to keep it in one post na lang. But maaaann, Holidays 2015 deserved a separate post. Just a note though, this will be picture heavy so you know what to do.

The first reminder of the upcoming holidays for me was our office decor. As usual, #award #kabog

Then, as always, our company's party happened on the first week of December. Nothing much, just dolled-up a little.

If there's company party, there's team party. This one was more intimate.

Of course, the yearly Christmas party with the girlfriends. This time, with our long-lost friend Ed and his family. Then, Ayala Triangle and Policarpio Christmas Village after!

Papahuli ba naman my baby Teradata Cares? Shempre, No! We had this yearly Christmas party for the children of Cancer Warriors Foundation.

Oohh, not Christmas related, but D's bestman got married also last December.

Ok, back to the topic. Last year, I wanted to take our family's (meaning D and I) Christmas together a notch higher. How? Ohh we've done a lot of new things!

Pinoy Christmas ba kamo? Di mawawala ang Christmas tree jan! Last year, we splurge on an 8-foot tree! Wooow!

Saw those gifts under the tree? Yup, the wrapping were all personalized by me!

Just some little stuff for our families, inaanaks, friends and Ninongs/Ninangs. By the way, this is worth sharing, I found a supplier of personalized chopping boards. Ang shala!

We have Christmas decor on the table too!

As for Noche Buena, nothing much. We started a tradition where we will not be going to anyone's house and just stay at our home. So a little table setting should be in place:

Before that pala, our tradition requires picture taking by the tree and hot chocolate while watching Christmas movies. So here's goes:

Next year, we will have our complete family picture. Jahe lang D and I's pic kasi haggard ako sa pagluluto. Hehe. But before Christmas ends, a gift from the hubster. Christmas and Anniv gift in one na daw yan. Ok lang! Hahaha!

Come Christmas morning, we went to D's sister's house to celebrate with them naman. Then after Christmas, we went up to Baguio to celebrate D and I's wedding anniversary and my sister's 11th birthday. We had fun! Look!

Snow at the Baguio Country Club Christmas Village:

I'm a fan of Lizquen's Forevermore. This made me super happy:

Once of my fave fruits, in a different form now:

Christmas is for Jesus Christ. Christ is Love. A proof that love exists, no matter who or what you are:

New Year's Eve, we celebrated it naman at D's house in Pasig. No decent picture kasi umuulan. But it was fun because we were 'almost' complete:

January 1 mornings are always for my Lola's side of the family:

So that's it for the Talattad Holidays 2015. :)

Missing holidays,
Yosh
