Equipped with our kodigo of what to buy, we drove to UST. Oh yes yes we were really going to Divisoria. But D had a traumatic experience (im exaggerating!) parking in Isetann Recto. We parked there when we bought my DSLR in Hidalgo two years ago. Before we checked-out of the parking, D saw a sign posted in the walls. It says - 'Check you plates before you leave' Waaa so apparently, plates are usually stolen even in the mall's parking. So my scaredy-cat boyfriend decided it's either we park in UST or we commute. I chose the first one.
Oh well, It's like hitting two birds with one stone. Because D hasn't done his assignment of checking out Gardini! So we parked our car in UST, ate some footlong and headed down to Gardini. Sadly, all their vests were black. No gray. aww. We can always have it tailor-made, they said. As for the prices, it seemed like Bonnie's prices are lower. So no! we were there for rentals. Or for First-use. But sadly again, Freddie said they do not tailor vests for rentals anymore. Disappointed!

So we rode a jeepney going to Recto, then rode another one to Divisoria. Very tiring if you ask me. Anyway, we reached Tabora first. I checked out Wellmanson there so I can buy some stuff. But I was disappointed that they only have few items in the store. Or maybe I was just expecting something big like that in Villalobos. We just checked a bunch of souvenirs in the bangketa and then headed to the next street which is our target - Ilaya Street. WOW! That was literally 'Di mahulugang karayom'. It seemed like people all over the country were there that same day! (TIP: Maybe it will be better to go there on weekdays. I assume there will be less people) So we looked for Divinemart. We checked out a bunch of other stores before we decided to see the ones recommended by my sisters in w@w. My bubble was bursted by some tinderas who obviously were irritated when people just ask prices. What the hell! Of course we want to get the lowest price possible. Anyway, I also saw boredom in D's eyes so I decided to buy already. I chose TMC Commercial. By far, that was the cheapest price and I liked the tindera Ate Meden! She reminded me so much of Mommy Dionisia. See for yourself:

Chiffon - P60-P75 per yard
Silk - P50 per yard
Organza - P50 per yard
I bought it at the following prices:
US Chiffon - P46 per yard
Geena Silk - P20 per yard
Taffeta - P55 per yard
Soft Tulle - P55 per yard
Hard Eyelet Lace - P400 per yard
Soft Spanish Lace - P250 per yard
Printed Fabric - P50 per yard
Checkered Kulduroy - P70 per yard
Not bad huh? I also discovered where the the stores buy their stocks. It's in Regentex! Next time I'll go directly.
After TMC, we decided to check the tela in the bangketa. For my fabric bouquet and the bowties! While walking, I heard my own stomach rumble. I can't believe it's past 12nn. I was a bit hesitant at first to stop shopping. If I were alone, I would have finish it all in one stop. Then grab a late-afternoon lunch. But I was with D. And judging from his face, we cannot delay it anymore. Surprisingly, there's a Jollibee in Ilaya St. Yey! After a quick lunch, we went back to shopping. I bought the remaining fabric in my list.
So back to the car mode. But first, we dropped by Wellmanson in Quaipo for my cord stuff. After maybe an hour of trying to decide which to buy again, we were again on a jeepney to UST. We stopped first for merienda at KFC inside the school. We did another Leo pose!
So there, we brought home these large bags. Tela for the bridal gown and female entourage - CHECK!
This is the very sick D the morning after. Allergic to crowded and dirty places ang peg! eww
Till next shopping! I'm sure I'll be back because I forgot a lot of things! hahaha. And men's suit fabric also!
So helpful! Thank you for posting. :) btw, did you find any organza? Ano price rande? Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHi! Thank you for visiting my blog. Yes I saw some organza fabric. The price ranges from 50-60php, most of them gave it for 55php. Hope that helps! :)
ReplyDeleteHi sir! Good day, I hope this blog is still up.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know where exactly is this "TMC Commercial" you bought your fabrics from. Is this located inside Ilaya? Divisoria Mall? Tabora?
I hope to get a reply soon!
Thanks so much!
Hi Kristalyn! It's inside the Divinemart Building on Ilaya St. I forgot the exact stall number, just ask around. Hope this helps!:)
ReplyDeleteWhere is REGENTEX located in Divi?
ReplyDeleteAww I wasn't able to go back na sa Regentex. We bought the remaining fabrics (for the coat) just beside TMC Commercial. Maybe you can ask around pag nandun ka na? I think nasa Divine Mart lang din sya. :)
ReplyDeleteif you need fabric, baka gusto nyo po try samin po... bodega price po sya kaya mas mura sya kaysa divisoria. Please send me an email (jchiong011913@yahoo.com.ph) or txt me (09498366016) if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteHi I hope this blog is still up. Ask ko lang kung nakailang yards ka sa isang gown for bridesmaid. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Carmela! Thanks for visiting my blog. :D
DeleteWell, it actually depends on the design of the gowns. In my case, I allotted 6 yards of chiffon and 3 yards of geena silk per gown. My bridesmaids' gowns were all long semi-ball gowns. Yung geena silk mostly pang-top and pang inner lining sya.

You can ask the tinderas for estimates. Ako dinoble check ko kung magmamatch yung sinabi ng mananahi ko sa estimate ng tindera. Ok naman.
Hth! ;)
Hi sis do u have a phone no. Of regentex?
ReplyDeleteHi Sis! Sorry wasn't able to get the number. But I guess you can just ask around since very popular sya. ;)
