We were having breakfast earlier when this topic came up. Some background - I prepare packed lunch and merienda everyday for D and myself. Sometimes, when D's already at work, he'll text something like this - "Tong crackers ba kasama ng lunch or merienda?". So this morning, I told him that he has another set of lunch box but it contains honeydew. The other one is his lunch. Our conve -
D: Kelan ko yun kakainin? (referring to the honeydew)
Y: Ikaw. Fruit yun, matamis so pwede merienda or after lunch.
D: Balat na yun?
Y: Balat and cut. Ready to eat na. Ano ka ba? You have the best wife in the world.
D: Oo nga.
Y: Haha! Joke.
You see? I fished for my own compliment. Hahahaha! You can say "poor me". But if you know D, you'll get why I do that. You see, my husband is not naturally expressive. He's not showy either. But over the years, I get to teach him to sometimes do sweet things. Sometimes. Hehe. So when he said "Oo nga" in a serious face, dude that's a big deal. He really feels that way.
So I must be happy. And I am!
